The Laser Vein Removal Procedure
Your doctor runs the CoolGlide handpiece over the treatment area, which delivers light energy in a series of pulses. This causes the blood in the targeted vein to coagulate, which eventually ruptures the blood vessel beneath your skin. The debris is absorbed by your lymphatic system, which is your body’s system for cleaning itself of unwanted materials, and the blood flow is redirected elsewhere. The result is clear skin with no more visible veins.
Different wavelengths are needed for different skin colors, and CoolGlide can be adjusted to any wavelength necessary. During the procedure, you will feel a slight stinging sensation, and topical anesthetic may be applied as needed.
