Laser Vein Removal in Beverly Hills

Cutera CoolGlide

One of the most common aesthetic problems is visible veins under the skin. As we age, veins become more obvious, and they take different forms: red spider veins on the face, large blue veins in the legs.

Fortunately, there is an easy solution: laser vein removal. The Cutera CoolGlide system allows your doctor to remove veins without any injections and with a minimum of discomfort and downtime. CoolGlide is the perfect option for fast, easy treatment.

Cutera CoolGlide uses pulses of light energy that have longer wavelengths than visible light. Visible light is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, along with infrared light, microwaves, and radio waves. When concentrated in small amounts, energy along the EM spectrum produces remarkable aesthetic results.

The Laser Vein Removal Procedure

Your doctor runs the CoolGlide handpiece over the treatment area, which delivers light energy in a series of pulses. This causes the blood in the targeted vein to coagulate, which eventually ruptures the blood vessel beneath your skin. The debris is absorbed by your lymphatic system, which is your body’s system for cleaning itself of unwanted materials, and the blood flow is redirected elsewhere. The result is clear skin with no more visible veins.

Different wavelengths are needed for different skin colors, and CoolGlide can be adjusted to any wavelength necessary. During the procedure, you will feel a slight stinging sensation, and topical anesthetic may be applied as needed. You may experience some minor swelling or skin redness, but laser technology does not produce scars or any long-term damage.

Depending on the size of the vein being treated, you may see results immediately, or it may take two to four weeks for the vein to disappear. It is important to take care of the treated area by minimizing sun exposure and putting on sunscreen if you go outside.

Be aware that laser vein treatment is most effective on small veins. Large varicose veins that pop out from surrounding skin may require additional procedures for removal.
