Morpheus8 is a newly developed microneedling technique from Inmode Aesthetics that has taken the cosmetic industry by storm. Majority of people who have had the treatment praise it and see results in one treatment.

But is Morpheus8 truly as great as it sounds? Should you try it?

Let’s explore what Morpheus8 is, and whether or not this innovative newcomer outperforms other microneedling techniques.

What is Morpheus8?

Morpheus8 is a microneedling technique that combines traditional microneedling and radiofrequency, which safely heat up and tighten the skin.

Microneedling itself is a technique where the skin is punctured by tiny, sterile needles to promote the production of collagen. This procedure is effective in reversing aging and giving skin a youthful appearance.

How Are Morpheus8 Treatments Performed?

Morpheus8 treatments are performed in a plastic surgery office and require a pretreatment numbing protocol for your skin.

Most of the time, patients will require a series of three appointments to achieve the desired results. Your treatment appointments will be spaced about one month apart to allow for enough time for the skin to heal and for collagen regrowth to mature.  For those that have more severe concerns, like deep wrinkles and skin laxity, three or more appointments may be necessary.

Once your initial round of treatments is complete, you can expect your results to last for about a year. Of course, the current condition of your skin will be a significant factor in determining how long the results of your treatment will last, as well as the type of skin condition that is being treated.

How Long Does Morpheus8 Take to Work?

You will start seeing Morpheus8 results 3-4 weeks after the final session of your first procedure.

Can Morpheus8 Results Last Longer?

Typically, Morpheus8 results can be expected to last between 1-3 years. This wide variation is influenced by one’s lifestyle, genetics as every skin type is unique and individuals will react to the treatment differently.

Although Morpheus8 will seemingly reverse a lot of the aging process, you will still continue to age. Sometimes, we recommend that patients have maintenance appointments occasionally to keep the optimum collagen production in the skin. The frequency of your maintenance appointments will be recommended based on your skin condition and how well your skin holds collagen production. For some, maintenance appointments should happen annually every year, while others may only need maintenance appointments when they notice the results of the Morpheus8 treatment fading.

To make your Morpheus8 treatment last longer, consider making these lifestyle changes:

  • Avoid sun exposure
  • Always have some sunscreen on, even in winter and while indoors
  • Avoid smoking
  • Keep your skin hydrated
  • Create a daily skincare routine
  • Schedule intermittent skin care treatments

It may be tough to treat certain visible signs of aging, but with the right aesthetic treatment, you can effectively rewind the clock and improve your overall appearance.  If you’re interested in microneedling in Beverly Hills, contact Dr. Julie Edween, top Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon, who can explain the process and tailor a plan concisely to you.
